Believing is Seeing

I am sick again...oh I hate this feeling!!! But since it's Thanks Giving Day, I should still be thankful, ayt? I want to go to work, seriously, but I can't..o_0

From reading the posts here on CL, it sure seems like EVERYBODY hates EVERYBODY ELSE for SOMETHING. But you don't need a website to tell you that; you see it everyday in the real world.

The rich hate the poor for being "low" and bothersome. The poor hate the rich for being stuck-up. Blue collar hates white collar for having to work for them. White collar hates blue collar for not kissing their ass.

Women hate men. Men hate women who hate men. Women hate men who hate women who hate men. Women hate men for wanting their bodies. Men hate women for wanting their wallets. Boyfriends and husbands hate their girlfriends and wives for taking their freedom. Girfriends and wives hate their boyfriends and husbands for not being perfect.

Fat chicks hate skinny chicks. Skinny chicks hate fat chicks. Fat chicks hate skinny chicks for getting all the guys. Skinny chicks hate fat chicks for hating them for it. Skinny chicks hate guys for looking at them as sex objects, and fat chicks hate guys for not looking at them at all.

Kids hate their parents for being parents. Parents hate their children for making them be parents.

Non-Christians hate Christians. Christians hate non-Christians for hating them. Non-Christians hate Christians for hating them back. Christians hate other Christians for not being the right "kind" of Christians. And everybody hates the Mormons.

Republicans hate Democrats. Democrats hate Republicans. Republicans hate Democrats for not loving their country enough. Democrats hate Republicans for hating the rest of the world. Independents hate both parties for having more money and influence than them. And Ralph Nader hates all of them.

And don't even get me started about race and gays.

My God, when does it stop? It makes me so sad that me, a normally tough and stoic guy wants to cry his eyes out for people everywhere. Everybody hates everybody else, and feels completely justified in that hate. Just ask them, and they'll tell you all about the righteousness of their hatred for whoever they hate. But ask someone who they love, and they're strugging to find any answer beyond a significant other and a few family and friends... Are our capacities to hate so global, but our capacity to love so local and small?

I can't take it anymore... But I guess, I'm no better. I hate everyone for hating everyone else.

Hatred is intrinsic to the human animal. It's in our nature to get extreme, and to try to curtail it is to suppress. We live in a world now, where buzzwords and mantras and breath prayers and cliches and Drew Pinsky and gender studies courses, are being installed like failsafes in people from their first day of kindergarten, e.g. the "bad touch" rundown. In short, postmodernists show us everything wrong with the world, then tell us to be mature in our responses to it...but, ultimately, people are people, it doesn't matter from whence they sprang or what positions they hold. The Primal is the Real; whether it's a behavior for polite company, or righteous in any way, whether "good" people should hate, begs the question, really. All creatures respond "emotionally", on some base level, including and especially Man. If you scratch the surface on the thin facade of fun in others, some of the most mature, polite human beings boomerang into maniacs (the old Tom Green Show on MTV, proved that mind-numbing immaturity alone, can bring out the beast in almost all). And, beyond initial, kneejerk anger, lies grudges and bitterness and a deep well of Hate. Where did it come from? The answer varies, but it's too easy to say, "from within the hating individual". Another modern fallacy states that others "do not make us" do anything, but the behaviorism of Skinner easily disproves this, and even est bottoms out with each of us as machines, responding to sensory data. Thus, one hates because he wasn't loved and another hates because she was abused, and another hates because the world is frightening and another, because someone was rude. Hate, the dark of the jungle (or sin, for the faith-based), is stardeep within us, a part--an unwelcome part, granted--of The Human Condition. As far as social interactions, i.e. how we "should" act with respect to the differences we encounter, is not relevant to the question. The question is, "Why do people hate other people?" The answer is, "Because there are other people...and, They are, by definition, not Us."

I thought it would end, akala ko I'll give up being her friend. Kaso it's very rare to find true friends and decided not to lose it! I know she's one of a kind, some might misunderstood her but after all, she's just being true..I realize that true friends should not give up each other sa kabila ng mga differences! We read sa Starbucks "Friends are like flowers, different kind but are all beautiful" We are all beautiful in our own way..It is still good to find out our likes and dislikes to understand each other better! We may get tired of it, pero it doesn't mean we have to let go..sa kabila ng lahat, "birds of the same feathers flock together". YAHOO!! Let those hatred disappear, and let LOVE LIVE!!!hahaha! God never failed to surprise me and I'm loving it!! Happy =) =) =)!!
